Abstract

In this paper we propose a parallel reading of two recent Colombian narconovelas: El ruido de las cosas al caer (2011) by Juan Gabriel Vásquez and El cielo a tiros (2018) by Jorge Franco. The aim of the analysis is to identify the convergences between the two works and to interpret them in the light of the evolution of the narco paradigm existing in Colombian narrative in the 1990s and 2000s.
